Careers Training for Web Design Considered

Should you fancy a web design career, then it’s critical to study Adobe Dreamweaver.

For commercial applications it’s important to have a full understanding of the full Adobe Web Creative Suite. This will include (though it’s not limited to) Action Script and Flash. If you wish to become an ACP (Adobe Certified Professional) or an ACE (Adobe Certified Expert) you’ll find these skills are vital.

Learning how to build a website is only the beginning. Creating traffic, maintaining content and some programming skills should come next. Look for courses with additional features that include these skills (such as PHP, HTML, MySQL etc.), alongside SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and E-Commerce skills.

It’s clear nowadays: There really is very little evidence of individual job security now; there’s really only industry or business security – a company will drop any single member of staff whenever it suits the business’ commercial requirements.

But a marketplace with high growth, with a constant demand for staff (through a growing shortfall of trained workers), creates the conditions for proper job security.

With the Information Technology (IT) market as an example, a key e-Skills investigation brought to light a skills gap around Great Britain of over 26 percent. Accordingly, for every 4 jobs existing throughout Information Technology (IT), businesses are only able to find enough qualified individuals for 3 of them.

Well taught and commercially certified new workers are thus at a resounding premium, and it looks like they will be for much longer.

It would be hard to imagine if a better time or market circumstances could exist for getting certified in this rapidly growing and budding business.

Always expect the most up to date Microsoft (or any other key organisation’s) authorised simulation materials and exam preparation packages.

Avoid relying on non-accredited exam preparation systems. Their phraseology is sometimes startlingly different – and this could lead to potential problems in the actual examination.

You should make sure you verify your knowledge by doing tests and practice in simulated exam environments to get you ready for the real deal.

The age-old way of teaching, utilising reference manuals and books, can be pretty hard going sometimes. If this describes you, look for learning programmes which have a majority of interactive, multimedia parts.

Many studies have proved that memory is aided when all our senses are involved, and we get physically involved with the study process.

Interactive full motion video utilising video demo’s and practice lab’s beat books hands-down. And you’ll find them fun and interesting.

Make sure to obtain a look at some courseware examples from any training college. The package should contain instructor videos, demonstrations, slide-shows and fully interactive skills-lab’s.

Many companies provide just online versions of their training packages; and although this is okay the majority of the time, consider what happens when you don’t have access to the internet or you get slow speeds and down-time etc. A safer solution is the provision of DVD or CD discs that don’t suffer from these broadband issues.

Consider only training courses which lead to commercially recognised qualifications. There’s a plethora of small companies pushing ‘in-house’ certificates which are worthless in today’s commercial market.

From a commercial standpoint, only the big-boys like Microsoft, Adobe, CompTIA or Cisco (for example) will get you into the interview seat. Anything less won’t make the grade.
