Director Of Information Technology Functions
Plans, organizes, controls, integrates and evaluates the function of the information Systems department. With underling personnel, develops, implements and monitors long-term plans, goals and objectives focused about achieving the organization’s and department’s duty and office priorities. Develops and monitors operation against the annual workforce budget. Manages and directs the development, implementation and valuation of plans, policies, systems and procedures to realize annual office goals and trade standards.
Plans and evaluates the functioning of assigned personnel. Establishes execution requirements and personal maturation targets. Ordinarily monitors execution and provides coaching towards execution melioration and advance. Provides remuneration and further rewards to recognise execution. Takes corrective action, up to and including termination, to handle functioning deficiencies, in conformity with the company’s department policies.
Provides leadership and works with staff to educate and retain highly competent, customer service-oriented personnel via selection, salary, training and day-to-day management practices which underpin the office’s mission and values.
Attends organization meetings, coordinates with the organization director and others and drafts or directs the draftsmanship of the agendas. Coordinates and supervises gemination and distribution of agenda packets and supporting materials. Directs the documentation, sustainment and dispersion of all staff meeting actions including transactions, resolutions and agreements. Plans and prepares agendas and supplementary documents for the office’s long-range planning, object setting and budget workshops. Prepares personnel reports to enclose in agenda packets.
Manages and participates in implementing and maintaining department information systems functions, including its computer hardware, software and network infrastructure, phone system and voice mail system. Oversees expansion and maintenance of the department’s systems. Anticipates and plans toward engineering adjustment and recommends the variation and upgrade of company hardware and software. Plans and directs innovative Information Technology projects and upgrades and coordinates Information Technology projects with additional departments. Gathers ideas from other companies regarding trends and innovative technologies. Conducts periodic inventories of software and hardware, prepares requests for proposals about Information Technology projects, coordinates system support with external organization engineers as required.
