The Logitech G5 and the Razer Copperhead: Which One Fits You Best

You?re winning and losing a game, be it a strategy or a first person shooter game, depends largely on your mouse performance. The Logitech G5 and the Razer Copperhead are the primary mice which have caught the eyes of most gamers. Having the chance to use both mice, I was able to single out their own characteristics which make each to be special.

It cannot be denied that these two mice came from the two popular hardware gaming brand names. Both the Logitech G5 and the Razer Copperhead can detect high speed movement and have a 2,000 dpi laser engine. They are both approximately of the same size and have out of the ordinary characteristics. With the Logitech G5, a gamer can direct its heaviness by putting more weights at its bottom. This is entirely because it has a feature of being able to adjust weight and balance. As much as 36 grams of weight can be added up in the Logitech G5.

In contrast, the Razer does not have this capability but unlike the other mice being sold it has an on-board memory. This feature allows you to save your gaming configurations on it and so you can bring it with you and have it attached to any computer without reconfiguring the buttons for each game. Now, isn?t that splendid! I just love this feature because I do not have to bother reconfiguring the buttons if ever I use a LAN or go to an internet caf?. By just bringing along your Razer mouse attach it to any computer and you?re ready for another set of game. In fact, a lot of gamers have been doing this already.

Using these two mice is so simple although you need to have a bit of more time to get familiar with them. Because of the size of my palm, I prefer the Razer Copperhead. Left-handed gamers, however, will find the Logitech difficult to manage because of its asymmetrical design.

I have tested both mice with games like WC3, Battlefield-I and Counter Strike and was happy to note that both did perform well. Innovative in its adjustable weight and balance is the best feature of Logitech G5 while Razer is the most comfortable to use between the two. Apart from that the latter also has its very own on-board memory. Razer is priced at $62.20 while G5 is lesser at $46.33.
